Modern buildings at Guiyang

The beautiful city Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou district, is typically known as “Forest City”.

The city is located in the centre of the district on the banks of the Nanming River, a branch of the Wujiang (River), and has nearly 1 million inhabitants.

Guiyang is populated by many ethnic minority groups, most of them belonging to the Miao people, in addition to the ethnic Han.

At the city are the Guizhou Normal University, the Guiyang Medical University, the Bijie University and the Guizhou University for Nationalities founded.
